Nasty Gal is always on-trend, but what happens if you need to return something you bought? What about exchanges? 1. Nasty Gal return policy overview
If what you ordered isn’t what you imagined, or you receive a damaged or wrong item, you can submit a request to return an item within 28 days of purchase. While exchanges are not currently an option at Nasty Gal, you can return items and place a new order for the correct item. For Nasty Gal to accept your return request:
- Items must have original labels intact, be unworn, unwashed, and unused.
- Shoes can only be returned if only tried on indoors and do not show wear.
If you receive faulty goods, Nasty Gal welcomes you to contact their customer service to discuss replacement, refund, or repair. Be ready with the name on the order, order number, product name, and code for the team to process your request. You will also want to have a description and picture of the issue with your item.
2. Exceptions to the Nasty Gal return policy
Due to health and safety concerns, the Nasty Gal return policy for face masks, pierced jewelry, and cosmetics is eligible only if the packaging is unopened and seals have not been broken or removed. To be considered for a return, swimwear and lingerie must be in original packaging, and hygiene seals must be intact. All items must be unworn and unwashed with original labels intact.
3. How to return items to Nasty Gal
Packages do not include a return label (which we think is a great way to reduce waste)! You can create a return label on the Nasty Gal website and attach it to your return before shipping.

Return in 4 easy steps
1. Repackage your items
Original packaging is not required! Just pop your items in any sealable, waterproof, and non-transparent packaging.
2. Log in to the returns portal
You will need your order number and email/last 4 digits of your phone number to access your return options. Once logged in to the portal, select the items you’re sending back and specify the reasons for your return.
3. Select your return option
You can either print a return label at home by finding the postage price in the portal, or you’ll be asked to download a returns label and pay for postage at your local post office.
4. Mail it
After you’ve processed your return in the portal, it’s time to send it on its way. Make sure to use a trackable service and hang on to your proof of postage receipt until after your refund is processed.
Carrot tip: Nasty Gal won’t refund shipping charges for those countries listed outside of the EEA.
Processing time for a Nasty Gal return
The Nasty Gal return policy states that you can expect your refund to take up to 14 days. As long as you are returning through the portal and sending it back using the label provided, the refund should process within two weeks.
The funds should appear in your bank statement in about 7 working days (the duration also depends on your card issuer).

Returns are refunded back to you in the original payment format. Your refund will be issued as a credit to your Nasty Gal account for orders paid with a gift card or store credit.
