With that said, follow these steps to verify yourself as a student at Target:

To create an account, you will have to click on the “Sign In” option, which is located in the top-right corner of the site. As you click on it, a pop-up will appear on the right-hand side. Then, click on “Create Account.”

Once you click on “Create Account,” you will be redirected to a page where you will have to fill in your details. Enter your email address, first name, and last name, and set a password. Adding your mobile number isn’t mandatory, but it is optional. You can add it if you want. 

Step 4: Log in to Your Account

When you finish entering your details, click on “Create Account.” Then, log in to your account. You can either search for the Student Discount page manually under the “Deals” section or type Student Discount in the search box. Whichever option you choose, you will be redirected to the Student Discount page. 

Step 5: Verify Your Student Status

Navigate to the “Account Settings” page, and there you will come across an “I’m a Student” tab. Click on the “Get Verified” option. As you click on it, you will be redirected to the “Student Verification Page.”

Target will ask you for a few details, which include the following:

• School name
• First and last name
• Birthday
• School year
• Housing status (optional)

Once you feed in all the details, click “Verify.” In most cases, student status is verified then and there. But sometimes, Target asks students to upload documents to support their student status. In case that happens, upload either your student ID card, class schedule, or tuition receipt with your college or school’s letterhead. 

It may take a while to approve your student status. However, once approved, you will receive an email specifying that your student status has been verified.

Okay, now that your student status is verified, it’s time to use it. 

If you’re shopping at Target’s store, you can get 15% off on all your purchases by showing your student discount coupon to the cashier. You can access the student discount coupon through the Target App. The cashier will scan the coupon, and you will get 15% off on the billing amount.

No, the Target student discount isn’t eligible for certain items.
