Everlane’s Return Policy: How to Get Your Money Back in No Time

What is Everlane’s Return Policy?

Everlane’s return policy allows you to return items for a full refund or an exchange within 30 days of the original purchase date. The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition with all tags attached. Items received as gifts or purchased with Everlane instant return card can only be returned for store credit.

What Items Can Be Returned?

Most items are covered by the Everlane return policy as long as they are in their original condition. Everlane accepts returns for:

  • Clothing, including tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, and swimwear. For swimwear, the protective hygienic liner must be intact to be eligible for returns
  • Shoes, including sneakers, boots, sandals, and flats.
  • Accessories, including bags, belts, scarves, hats, and gloves.
  • Underwear and socks. Everlane maintains a first-try policy for underwear. This means you are allowed to try one pair of underwear. Everlane only accepts one pair of underwear out of the packaging for return, so if you’re buying multiples, we recommend opening and proving your love for one pair first.

However, there are some items that are not eligible for a return, such as Final Sale items or any item marked as non-returnable on the product page. Additionally, Everlane may refuse returns that do not meet their criteria or are deemed to be fraudulent or abusive.

How To Initiate Returns

All of Everlane’s in-person retail locations, your neighborhood Happy Returns Bar, and the postal mail accept returns. You can also return items internationally.

For In-Person Returns

If you would like to make an in-person return to Everlane, you can do so at one of their retail locations. Here are the steps to initiate an in-person return:

  • Visit the Everlane store nearest you. You can find the nearest store by using the store locator on Everlane’s website.
  • Bring the item you wish to return, along with the original packaging and any tags or accessories that came with it.
  • Present the item and your order confirmation email to the store associate.
  • Let the store associate know whether you would like a refund or an exchange, and provide any necessary information, such as the new size or color you would like.
  • The store associate will process your return or exchange, and you will receive a refund or exchange item, depending on your preference and the availability of the item in-store.

For Happy Returns

Happy Returns Bars, accepts all returns that are eligible. Shipping labels are not required for these in-person returns, which are free. Upon return, a refund will be processed immediately. Happy Returns has set a 10-return item limit as of January 4, 2023. No returns of more than ten items will be accepted. To initiate an Everlane return at a Happy Returns Bar location, follow these simple steps:

  • You can start your Return by signing into your Everlane account and tapping on the Orders and Returns option
  • You will receive an Express code and a QR code via email to present at your local Happy Returns Bar. They won’t be able to take your return if you don’t have a code, so please set up the return before you go to Happy Returns and bring your QR code with you.
  • The store associate will process your return and provide you with a refund or exchange, depending on your preference and the availability of the item in-store.
  • You will receive an email confirmation of your return once it has been processed.

For Mail Returns

To initiate a mail return at Everlane, follow these simple steps.

  • Log into your Everlane account.
  • Click on the “Orders” tab to view your order history.
  • Find the order containing the item you wish to return and click on the “Return” button next to it.
  • Select the reason for your return and choose whether you want a refund or an exchange.
  • If you are exchanging the item, select the new size or color that you want.
  • Print out the prepaid shipping label provided by Everlane and attach it to the outside of the package.
  • Pack the item you are returning securely in the original packaging or a new box, along with any original tags or packaging materials.
  • Drop off the package at any USPS location.

Note: There is a $7 dollar charge for mail returns.

For International Returns

To return items to Everlane from an international location, follow these steps:

  • Contact Everlane’s Customer Service Team via email or phone to inform them that you would like to return an item from an international location. They will provide you with instructions on how to proceed with the return process.
  • Package the item you are returning securely in the original packaging or a new box, along with any original tags or packaging materials.
  • Fill out the international return form included with your original order. Make sure to include all relevant information, such as your name, order number, and reason for return.
  • Ship the package to the address provided by Everlane’s customer service team. You will be responsible for any shipping fees associated with the return.

Do note that most return processing can take up to three weeks from the date it is received, and typically takes one to two weeks to arrive at the warehouse.
